Most SAP users 'satisfied' or 'very satisfied' with ERP application performance, Pierre Audoin Consultants study finds
Nearly every SAP user organisation believes that issues affecting the performance of their applications pose a financial risk, according to a survey of 588 SAP customers by Compuware and Pierre Audoin Consultants.
Happily, a considerable majority of respondents (71%) said they were either ‘satisfied’ or ‘very satisfied’ with the availability of their SAP systems. The proportion was slightly lower for system response times (57%).
Roughly half of the respondents rated their ability to detect, troubleshoot and even predict performance issues as either good or very good.
The survey report’s authors saw these findings as evidence that many organisations need supplementary application performance management tools. “Although the figures look positive, about 30% of the companies are not satisfied with the performance,” they wrote.
However, that proportion includes the unreported number of respondents who said they were neither satisfied nor dissatisfied.
