The government has appointed a new director of digital engagement to advise on how web technologies can create a dialogue with citizens.
There was some controversy when the government announced the new role, especially concerning the alleged salary. According to the Daily Mail, the successful applicant would earn between £80,000 and £160,000 per annum.
The job has gone to Andrew Stott, it was revealed today. Stott was previously deputy CIO for the government, and head of service transformation at the Cabinet Office's e-Government Unit.
