BBC appoints new CIO

Tiffany Hall takes helm after predecessor Keith Little quits to join consultancy

The BBC has revealed the identity of its new chief information officer. Tiffany Hall has been appointed to the role after previous CIO Keith Little left the corporation to join business transformation and technology consultancy Proteus.

Before joining the BBC in 1995, Hall worked for oil company Shell. Since then, she has overseen the implementation of ‘tapeless’ broadcasting technology for the BBC’s news organisation.

Hall will report to BBC CTO John Linwood. “I’m delighted that Tiffany has accepted the post of CIO,” Linwood said. “She brings extensive BBC experience to the role in addition to valuable commercial insights from her time at Shell.”
