Acquisition creates a superpower of application lifecycle management

IBM is set to become the dominant force in enterprise application development software following an agreed SKR5.2 billion ($745m) buy-out of Telelogic.
Malmo,Sweden-based Telelogic, whose customer roster reads like a Who’s Who of the engineering, aerospace and automotive industries, had revenues of around $208 million in 2006 and licence sales growth of 20%. Following the acquisition, Telelogic will become part of the IBM’s Rational software division.
