SAP data scandal: Heads roll

20 November 2007

TomorrowNow CEO finally resigns....

Executives at TomorrowNow, the SAP-owned IT support company that was found to have stolen product information from arch-rival Oracle, are finally to resign.

Andrew Nelson, CEO and founder of TomorrowNow is to step down immediately, along with other members of senior management, including Nelson’s wife. SAP has also indicated that it may sell the company.

When details of the incident appeared, Oracle described the act as "corporate theft on a grand scale". TomorrowNow had amassed "a storehouse of stolen Oracle intellectual property," the company said.

The case has yet to be settled legally, although observers predict an out of court settlement. SAP has previously pledged that it would pay no more than €10 million.
