Data centres are under increasing pressure to deliver greater processing power, more storage and greater reliability. However UK enterprises are now facing new challenges with the introduction of the Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) legislation. From April 2010, Enterprises and Data Centres alike will be required to report on energy consumption, failure to do so could result in criminal penalties, however Information Age has recently reported that only a mere 40%* of IT leaders actually monitor their data centre’s energy use.

Staged annually and entering its 7thyear, Information Age anticipates that more than 200 decision makers from the UK’s largest companies will attend The Future of the Data Centre 2010. These will include CIOs & IT directors, data centre managers and chief technology officers.

Our delegates will receive a rich experience with significant knowledge building and networking opportunities throughout the course of the day.

On the day delegates will share expertise and learn about unfolding developments
in the data centre arena.  Among the issues to be covered in 2010 are:

•How to ensure that data centres evolve with business

•Efficiency & the impact of the CRC

•Reliability and security

•Data centre capacity and beyond 2012

There will also be an opportunity for delegates to hear about innovative and powerful technologies that can help with the challenges above including:

•Remote Desktop Virtualisation

•Virtual Private LAN Services

•Private Clouds

•Outsourcing data v hosting
