“As more and more businesses realise that the future of the internet is at the edge, there has never been more opportunities for channel organisations to drive business with a company like Akamai,” Nipshagen said. “I’m excited for the opportunity to build on the collaboration between Akamai, local partners and customers to drive our channel ecosystem forward. Strong security protection is at the core of Akamai’s channel portfolio and is one of the fundamentals of business, so being able to combine our platform with the insight of local partners will help us all to deliver the best results for our customers.”

This is not Nipshagen’s first role tole with Akami; he’s spent several years with the firm in a variety of roles. Most recently, he was a regional sales leader in driving growth in Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa. He is also the managing director of Akamai Benelux.
