Cathy Graham to join Darktrace as CFO

Her appointment as CFO was made in an aim on the part of Darktrace to venture into the public market.

Graham spent eight years as CFO of 2U, an education tech company, before agreeing to join Darktrace.

During this stint, she was named ‘2015 Public Company CFO of the Year’ by the Northern Virginia Technology Council, as well as being included in the Washington Business Journal’s 2018 ‘Women Who Mean Business’ list.

Prior to this, she served as CFO and executive vice-president of Online Resources Corp., during which she oversaw financial management aspects as well as matters regarding investors and potential business opportunities.

Darktrace’s new CFO will bring experience in financial roles across technology, banking and hospitality to the fold, having led four successful initial public offerings (IPOs) previously.

“There has never been a more exciting time to join Darktrace,” said Graham. “Darktrace has fundamentally transformed cyber defence with its world-leading innovations in artificial intelligence.

“I am excited to join a company that is not only set to continue its path of unprecedented growth in 2020, but is also doing good for society by protecting the world’s critical infrastructure and services from cyber-crime.”

Nicole Eagan, CEO of Darktrace, said: “I am delighted to welcome Cathy to Darktrace. As we begin to see real-world attacks leveraging offensive AI, customer demand for our Autonomous Response technology has soared.

“Cathy’s judgement, strong business partnering skills, and exceptional leadership capabilities make her a fantastic candidate to guide Darktrace through this next period of strategic growth.”
