CloudBees names Prakash Sethuraman as chief information security officer

New CloudBees CISO Sethuraman, who brings extensive experience in leading digital and security initiatives for organisations in highly regulated industries, will lead the security strategy, as well as the company’s product line.

Sethuraman joins off of the back of a tenure as global head of cloud security at HSBC, leading digital strategy and architecture, as well as helping the organisation drive public cloud and container adoption, and overseeing the creation of a global Open Banking platform.

Additionally, he led a cloud and container-focused cyber security team at HSBC, while helping to establish new security processes to protect the bank as it accelerated its journey towards cloud and container ecosystems operating at scale.

Prior to HSBC, Sethuraman held the role of chief architect (financial services) at Wipro, leading the IT Architecture and Strategy consulting service across Securities, Banking and Insurance customers in the UK.

After leaving Wipro in 2008, following a stint of over five years, Sethuraman founded management consultancy Enterprise Blueprints Limited, where he currently serves as chairman.

Through Enterprise Blueprints, Sethuraman has led technology transformation initiatives for major financial services institutions in the UK.
