Mastek strengthens executive leadership with hire of new chief business officer, Dennis Badman

Digital transformation specialist, Mastek, has today announced the appointment of a new chief business officer Mastek strengthens executive leadership with Dennis Badman image

Mastek, the enterprise digital transformation provider has today announced the appointment of Dennis Badman as chief business officer.

He will join the Mastek Executive Committee and will be responsible for ensuring Mastek retains its global competitiveness ‘as the company looks to strengthen its management capacity and leadership experience as it scales over the coming years,’ according to the announcement.

Badman most recently led Fujitsu’s European Services Division, an organisation of over 10,000 people with annual revenues over £2 billion. He was also CEO of GlobeRanger (a Fujitsu company) and brings over 20 years of experience successfully selling and delivering complex IT services projects across the globe.

Commenting on the appointment Mastek Group CEO, John Owen said, “there is broad acknowledgement that the market requirements for digital are very different to legacy IT services. Blending agility, speed, empowerment with engineering excellence and customer centricity are the key attributes Mastek has brought to our customers. Now we are entering the growth phase of our strategy, it is important we have the right leadership talent, experience and alignment to our value system that enables us to increase our velocity and accelerate our momentum. Dennis is an excellent addition to the team and I know he will build on these assets to ensure we scale smoothly towards becoming a successful mid-cap company.”

Sudhakar Ram, Mastek vice chairman and promoter also commented “Dennis joins a high performing team who have already delivered 11 consecutive quarters of growth. Strengthening our talent base for the next phase of our strategic journey is essential and Dennis’s experience, attitude and focus on developing engineering talent is core to Mastek’s heritage but more importantly, future. He is a great addition.”

Prior to Fujitsu, Badman spent time at Telent, Marconi and Sycamore Networks. He holds a BA (Hons) in Business and Finance from the University of East London.

Commenting on his appointment he said, “Mastek’s proposition is perfectly timed for the enterprise market as it transitions from legacy to digital and I’m excited about the plans to develop and attract talent. I look forward to joining an impressive leadership team who are doing a great job in executing on their strategy while staying true to Mastek’s core values and respecting its heritage”.
