Google executive Jason Mills joins Applause board

New Applause board member Mills, who is currently the executive director and head of customer engineering cloud industries at Google, will look to support the company’s aim to empower its global customers’ delivery of digital experiences.

Effective immediately, the appointment follows a search that was supported by Vista Equity Partner’s independent board program, which leverages the firm’s network to source qualified board candidates for its portfolio companies, including Applause.

At Google, Mills leads the industry-aligned team responsible for sales engineering for the top 250 customers in finance, healthcare & life sciences, telecom, media & entertainment, gaming and retail.

Often focusing on business strategy, innovation and digital transformation, Mills previously held several technology leadership positions, including director of end user technology & innovation at JP Morgan Chase, and global head of risk tech at Citigroup.

In addition, he co-founded BLISTS, Inc., a non-profit organisation specialising in technology and economic development in underdeveloped communities, in 2006.
