London Tech Week 2017

London & Partners yesterday announced a deal that will bring KNect365, a global events provider, to reshape London Tech Week.

Last year’s London Tech Week comprised over 300 individual events and attracted more than 40,000 visitors from all over the world.

There are now more than 40,000 digital technology companies in the capital, with that figure expected to exceed 50,000 by 2025.

Events like these are important in the tech sectors growth.

KNect365 will transform the tech festival, renamed London Tech Week, into a digital playground, much in line with the digital transformation the tech industry is witnessing.

The upgraded tech festival, kicking off in June, will introduce VR exhibits, and wearable tech with the aim of attracting 100,000 visitors to the event in the next 3 years.

London Mayor, Sadiq Khan has high hopes for this partnership, stating: “I want London Tech Week to be Europe’s top tech event in 2017, highlighting that London is open for business, new investment and global talent.”

The innovation and ambition of this deal with KNect365 is an opportunity for London to showcase its growing strength in tech, and to share information and ideas in the hope of further advancing that tech.

It is a firm statement that London’s tech sector is open for business with Europe and the rest of the world.

Events like these will be important in letting the public catch up with technology as the tech industry enters its smart technology and digital phase.
