The British economy had a very challenging 2020. Not only did the UK, and the rest of the world, have to respond to a once-in-a-generation pandemic, but British businesses also had to prepare for the impending Brexit. We officially left the EU Single Market on January 1st, 2021.

To cope with these vast challenges, businesses have had to adapt quickly. IT teams have been placed at the heart of business strategies, critical applications have been deployed at rapid speed and increased collaboration across organisations has improved.

In part, British businesses were able to respond to this shifting landscape by accelerating their digital transformation plans. This required implementing new technology faster to respond to the new needs of staff, customers, the government and the general public in a digital-first world.

As a result of this new mandate, IT teams found themselves increasing the speed in which they can deliver projects, services and digital changes, while also improving collaboration efforts across the wider business. Today, the IT team is a strategic advisor to heads of division and the C-suite, and works more closely than ever with non-technical staff to implement solutions that allow organisations to deliver the solutions their stakeholders need – both internally and externally.

In this webinar, Information Age in partnership with Mendix, will present the technologies that have been deployed across various industries to support the IT department in delivering critical applications at speed and scale, and why it’s now time for a low-code approach to app development.
