Virtana appoints former Dell executive Kash Shaikh as president and CEO

New Virtana president and CEO Shaikh, who was most recently global vice-president and general manager for the Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions business at Dell Technologies, will look to maximise cloud optimisation services for Global 2000 companies.

Prior to joining Dell, Shaikh held vice-president positions at Ruckus Wireless (now part of Commscope), and Riverbed Technology (acquired by Thoma Bravo), as well as leadership roles at HPE.

Earlier in his career, Shaikh held marketing and engineering leadership roles at Cisco and Nortel Networks, and for the last five years, he has sat on the board at non-profit organisation Ignited, which provides professional development opportunities for teachers, employers and researchers.
