Twilio appoints Michelle Grover as its first CIO

New CIO Grover joins Twilio after previously serving as senior vice-president of software development at SAP Concur. Here, she led a global team of mobile and platform engineers that focused on developing TripIt and the Concur mobile app.

Grover, who brings over 20 years’ technical experience, will be responsible for upleveling Twilio’s technology systems and processes, as well as empowering the organisation to improve engagement with enterprise customers.

“As someone who is a big believer of working in service to others, I could not be more thrilled to be joining Twilio at a time when Covid-19 has given us such an enormous opportunity to make a difference as a company,” said Grover.

In addition to being the new Twilio CIO, Grover currently sits on the Advisory Board at Techtonica, a non-profit organisation dedicated to increasing female and non-binary participation in the tech sector.
