“As a managed data services provider, with a multi-faceted service portfolio, plus an usual mix of valuable skills in both data and its privacy, Calligo is right at the forefront of IT service provision,” said Hickman.

“While the rest of the MSP industry still takes a ‘technology down’ approach, Calligo aims to build from customers’ data needs upwards, including data privacy, productivity and cost efficiency, and deliver more impactful benefits to its customers as a result.

“It is a compelling proposition, and with the support of the team’s proven track record and skills, I am looking forward to helping take it to market and deliver excellent service to our customers.”

Julian Box, CEO of Calligo, commented: “Mark’s experience in driving sales and service for global businesses solving productivity, security and data privacy issues for organisations of all sizes meant that he was the perfect fit for Calligo.

“Not only is he a good technical and commercial fit, but he has also been part of driving rapid and multi-territory organic growth, which is a key component of our immediate and long-term strategy.

“We are convinced that he will have an immediate positive impact on our business.”
