Kyndryl and Microsoft announce strategic partnership to accelerate digital transformation

The long-term deal, which is IT infrastructure services provider Kyndryl‘s first since becoming an independent public company spun out from IBM, will set up delivery of digital transformation solutions built on the Microsoft Cloud.

The new services will look to accelerate hybrid cloud adoption, modernise applications and processes, support mission-critical workloads, and further enable modern work experiences for customers, while opening additional markets and new customers to Kyndryl across all industries.

As part of the agreement between the two companies, Microsoft has become Kyndryl’s only Premier Global Alliance Partner, increasing Microsoft’s access to the $500 billion managed services market.

Together, Kyndryl and Microsoft will bring customer solutions to market in the areas of data modernisation and governance, AI-driven innovations for industries, cyber security and resiliency, as well as transformation of mission-critical workloads to the cloud.

Meanwhile, Kyndryl will lead with advisory, implementation and managed services for complex hybrid IT environments.

Additionally, a co-innovation lab will be established to rapidly develop and bring to market new customer capabilities built on Microsoft Cloud, as well as scale technical expertise from Kyndryl.
