Mindtree appoints Dayapatra Nevatia as new COO

The new COO, whose office will be based in Bangalore, India, will take on the role at Mindtree with immediate effect.

He will take charge of a new phase of growth for Mindtree, which comes following the confirmation of an almost $200 million contract from Philips, and a 16% surge for its stock, a 52-week high.

Nevatia had previously served as a managing director at Accenture, as well as being a director of delivery in communications, media & technology, delivery centres for technology in India, and advanced technology centres in India.

While at Accenture, he led the delivery of its entire portfolio, which ranged from system integration to application outsourcing and security services.

Prior to this, he spent over 20 years at Wipro, working his way up from developer to vice-president and global head of delivery and operations for energy, natural resources, EPC and utilities.

New Mindtree COO Nevatia has a masters’ degree in management studies.
