Claranet has been positioned in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for data centre outsourcing and hybrid infrastructure managed services. This follows on from the inclusion in the Magic Quadrant for Managed Hybrid Cloud Hosting for Europe in 2017.
Gartner analysed the cloud service offerings of 20 leading providers in data centre outsourcing and hybrid infrastructure managed services worth more than $21 billion in annual revenue in Europe.
According to Claranet, the report highlights the evolving ways in which businesses access and manage IT in an era that demands adaptability and a holistic approach to technology.
Charles Nasser, CEO of Claranet, said: “We are proud to be recognised in this 2018 Gartner Magic Quadrant alongside global vendors, which we believe is a positive reflection of the work we have done to enhance our expertise in the migration of applications to both public and private cloud platforms, and the management of critical applications and infrastructure 24/7.
“We have invested heavily in improving the skills we have and the breadth of services we are able to offer to our customers.”
“This has included our continued emphasis on expansion through acquisitions, such as the purchase of security specialist Sec-1, managed infrastructure and Azure specialist Union Solutions and French DevOps and cloud specialist Oxalide.”
“Alongside this, we have also sustained our efforts to solidify our existing partnerships as part of a bid to enhance the overall strength of the business.”
“Our status as holders of the highest accreditations in all of the ‘Big Three’ public cloud providers – AWS, Google and Microsoft – has also been instrumental in driving the growth of our dedicated cloud migration practice.”
“In addition, we have continued to make investments in automation of cloud infrastructure, which we believe will help our customers reach new levels of IT performance and efficiency.”
Nasser concluded: “IT departments face constant pressure to streamline the way they operate and add value to their organisations, which requires constantly varying skills and expertise.”
“They need suppliers with the right expertise and who are well-versed in the migration and running of critical applications, as well as the ongoing management of such complex IT implementations. Our mission is to enable businesses to achieve this.”
