The role of AI in big data analytics

The importance of big data was established until recently but the way to decipher it and derive useful trend and patterns was almost impossible. Especially considering that humans would be left up to the task of doing so, they’d quickly become victims of a burnout. But thanks to the development of machine learning software and programs, it won’t be a problem.

Data analytics have proven to be a source of potential growth for any corporate environment because companies can learn something from every failure or successful transaction. Let’s face it, humans have their limits to which they can work but once it’s crossed, they become tired and inefficient.

Needless to say, the process for analyzing massive amounts of data is a rather mundane task and it can cause them to get bored very quickly.

AI plays an instrumental role in the development of data engineering and analytics, and it’s primarily due to its ability to learn just like humans. It addresses the shortcomings of tiredness and lack of challenging tasks by being able to consistently draw out conclusions from varying data.

Another reason why it has proved to be extremely beneficial is that it’s not one to get intimidated by large amounts of data.

Rather, it only gets stronger as the amount increases because it continues to learn and add to its knowledge. As of now, the scope shows that the implementation of AI is limited to B2C businesses because of the wider consumer base it caters to. Currently, machine learning programs are being used for functions such as customer service and personal assistants.

It’s because theorists and AI scientists expect such programs to be able to understand the buying habits of an individual consumer and match them with more products that will be suitable.

While this algorithm is being implemented on various forums like Amazon and Netflix, a later upgrade is expected to have the ability to answer the requests and queries of actual consumers.

Although the employees belonging to the corporations may think of the process as mundane those whose jobs depend solely upon data analytics are fearful of losing out against a machine that is clearly better.

However, recent trends show that the job market will flourish and grow exponentially because of the requirement of AI-related jobs such as engineers and data analysts. According to the numbers on LinkedIn, there’s a steady demand for jobs in the fields of data engineering and analysis, and according to the World Economic Forum, those numbers are set to increase.

A human touch will still be greatly required because as great as AI is, there will still be the need for decision-making skills in the market.

These jobs will be for humans exclusively, due to their ability to make emotional and sentiment based decisions. At the same time, employees can work on their schedules to improve productivity. This includes catching up on well-deserved rest by incorporating a healthy sleep cycle into their routine.
