TransferGo appoints Edgardo Savoy as chief technology officer

New TransferGo CTO Savoy will be responsible for overseeing the London-based money transfer platform’s innovation roadmap, driving new offerings for customers.

Leading a team of over 60 engineers, one of Savoy’s main goals will be to expand TransferGo’s portfolio to ensure that customers arriving in a new country gets the same benefits as non-migrants.

“I can’t think of a more exciting time to join TransferGo,” said Savoy. “The culture of innovation and passion for providing users with a fantastic experience is something I have deep affinity with.

“I’m looking forward to guiding an incredibly talented engineering and product team to even higher heights as we enter this new phase of growth.”

The new CTO will bring over 25 years’ product and technology experience to TransferGo, having previously held senior positions at Paddy Power and Lastminute.com, and led large scale teams across the UK, Europe and South America.

The new hire comes following a recent investment of $10 million, which will go towards expanding TransferGo’s global footprint and continuing to launch new services.
