Satyam ‘has lost 46 customers’ so far, says Indian paper

The number of customers that have ditched Indian IT services provider Satyam following the company’s corruption expose is around 46, according to a unnamed source quoted in the Economic Times, India’s largest financial daily newspaper.

The latest customer to bail is Abu Dhabi Bank. “Abu Dhabi Bank is among the recent customers to have moved out of Satyam, the bank has shifted its work to 3i Infotech, taking the total client exits to around 46,” the newspaper quoted a ‘person familiar with the developments’ as saying yesterday. The company declined to comment on the report.

On the list of Satyam customers known to have taken their business to rival IT services providers are companies including Telstra, Sony, and State Farm Insurance.
