Sinch appoint new chief product officer

Cloud communications provider Sinch have appointed former Microsoft senior director Vikram Khandpur as their new chief product officer Sinch appoint new chief product officer image

Khandpur, who had previously spent 13 years as senior director of product management at Microsoft, is expected to take on the position from the 19th December.

Having overseen the growth of platforms such as Skype and Microsoft Teams in the past, Sinch‘s new CPO will lead his teams from his office in Seattle, near to some of Sinch’s most prominent customers.

He will be bringing with him experience in AI integration, having previously blended AI to enhance conversations between customers and companies, as well as in leadership positions in charge of teams of multiple disciplines.

“Companies of all sizes across the globe want to deliver smarter and better customer experiences,” said Khandpur. “There is a massive opportunity for Sinch’s SaaS products to power these interactions across marketing, sales, R&D and customer support departments.

Oscar Werner, CEO of Sinch, said in regards to the new appointment: “It’s not every day that you get to hire someone with Vikram’s caliber and experience, so we are exceptionally happy that he has chosen Sinch for his next career chapter.

“With Vikram’s leadership and vision, the market opportunity in front of us is considerably more meaningful.”

This news comes not long after Sinch appointed its first Chief Marketing Officer, Jonathan Bean, as well as a new Director of Communications, Jeff Hasen.

Previously known as CLX Communications, the cloud company was founded in 2008 and its headquarters are based in Stockholm, Sweden.
